Golf is a game we can enjoy throughout our lives, bringing together people of every age, ability and background. For me, my golf club is much more than somewhere to play. It’s where pretty much all my greatest friendships have been made.
My dad played golf until he was 87. Even after he stopped playing, the club remained a huge part of his life. The friendships he shared with the “Elderly Gentlemen of Denham” or EGODs, with his amazing pals was fabulous.
That’s where this started.
Golf clubs today face new challenges.
Members are living longer, but many struggle with reduced mobility or recurring injuries that make the game harder to enjoy. At the same time, clubs are looking for new ways to support member wellbeing and create sustainable sources of income.
We want to help with all three.
The R&A Golf and Health Report recognises the important role golf plays in improving physical, mental and social wellbeing.
We believe golf clubs can play a role in delivering practical wellbeing programmes that help members stay active and healthy for longer. Just Breathe can deliver measurable outcomes that can support these programmes.
Nicky – “Having spent 15 years as a yoga teacher, I am now working with my husband Andy to bring accessible yoga classes to golfers online.”
Andy – “Golf has been a huge part of my life, Saturday mornings with my dad and my pals. Each summer, the road trip up the A9 from Perth to Dornoch with my family when we were little. I love it; golf is my happy place. In recent years Nicky has brought her yoga to my life and it’s changed everything – and my game has improved in almost every way. Long may that continue!”
James – “I didn’t really have a choice; a golf mad dad and a yogi mum! I love both (maybe golf a little more). Watching them blend their worlds together has been amazing and I had to get involved. It’s easy to think that this is for golfers of their age and stage, but the mental, physical and social aspects are just as important for my generation too! It’s good for everyone.”
We want to build our programmes around and with the golf clubs. We will build WhatsApp communities for each club, ladies’ sections, men’s sections, roll-ups and regular playing groups.
These become friendly spaces where members encourage one another to practice regularly, share progress and stay connected beyond the golf course.
This is more than a member benefit; we want a genuine partnership with you.
Every Household Membership costs £40 per month.
In return for supporting us, we share 25% of our revenue directly with you.
A club with just fifty Household Memberships would generate around £6,000 a year in recurring income.
We deliver the programme; your club enjoys the benefits.
Together, we can help golfers stay healthier, move more freely, enjoy stronger friendships and continue playing the game they love for many more years.
Helping your members play better golf for longer.
We would love to talk to you.
